Mercado de Maravillas (Tetuán): Madrid's big neighbourhood market

Updated on October 26, 2026

At 122 calle Bravo Murillo, in the Tetuán district, the Mercado de Maravillas is a large neighbourhood market with over 200 stalls according to esmadrid (over 250 in its English version). You come for the fishmongers, butchers, greengrocers and bakeries, not for souvenirs: it is a market lived in by locals, far from the central food halls.
