Legends, The Home of Football is a private museum devoted to the history of world football, set in a seven-floor building at the very start of Carrera de San Jerónimo, next to the Puerta del Sol. It brings together several hundred original items (balls, jerseys, boots, trophies) linked to Pelé, Cruyff, Maradona, Messi, Iniesta or Zidane, plus interactive zones, virtual reality and a 4D cinema. You visit without a guide; allow about two hours. This is not the Real Madrid museum, which is at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium: see the Bernabéu stadium visit.
Highlights

An address in the heart of Madrid
The museum is next to the Puerta del Sol, a few steps from the Casa de Correos and the zero point of Spain's roads. The visit combines easily with the square, the Plaza Mayor and the historic center. See the page on the Puerta del Sol.

Kilometer zero, steps away
Before or after the visit, the kilometer zero plaque in front of the Casa de Correos is worth a photo: it is the starting point of all Spain's national roads.

Sol after dark
Since the museum closes in the evening, you can end the outing on the lit-up square, lively until late, with its café terraces and pedestrian streets.
The seven floors
Each level looks back at the big moments of the competitions: World Cup, Euros, Champions League, Copa Libertadores. You will find original balls, boots, jerseys and trophies, archive photos, games and interactive experiences.
The 4D cinema and virtual reality
Two attractions that appeal to children and fans: a 4D film and virtual reality experiences, presented as part of the visit.
