Because fares change daily, compare operators on one search engine, then buy on the operator's own site. Tickets are usually cheapest several weeks before travel. Some comparison pages reported works on the line near Álora earlier in 2026: check Renfe or iryo for any current disruption before you go.
Practical tips
Trains leave from Madrid Puerta de Atocha and arrive at María Zambrano, next to the centre of Malaga: the old town is about 20 minutes on foot.
