The essentials before buying
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| When | In July, over several days (2026: 8 to 11 July) |
| Where | Iberdrola Music, Villaverde, south Madrid |
| Tickets | Festival pass or day ticket, sold on the official ticket office; the first prices are the cheapest |
| Getting there | Public transport and shuttles depending on the edition: see the festival's access page |
| Where to stay | In the centre (Sol, Atocha) for city life, with a 30 to 40 minute trip |
Ticket prices change every year and with each sales wave: we give no figure that would be out of date. To buy, use the festival's ticket office, not a reseller.
Where to stay
The festival is in the south, far from the tourist districts. Staying near Atocha makes the return and the station easier; the centre (Sol, Gran Vía) has more restaurants but a longer trip and high July rates. Book early: summer is high season. See hotels near Atocha and what to do in Madrid in July.
Our advice
July is very hot in Madrid: bring water, sunscreen and light clothes, and keep museums for the morning. For another big show in the city outside the festival, the Las Ventas bullring can be visited all year.
