What you are buying

IKONO is an immersive experience of about an hour over 600 m²: five zones designed by local artists where you touch, look and photograph. Groups are limited to 10, with an entry every 15 minutes, and the Tiqets ticket includes Fast Track access. The address is calle de Sánchez Bustillo 7, near Estación del Arte (line 1) and the Reina Sofía museum. The tourist office (March 2026) lists 10:30 to 20:30 Monday to Thursday, 10:00 to 21:00 Friday and Saturday, 10:00 to 20:30 Sunday.

Official or Tiqets?

The Tiqets ticket is non-refundable and cannot be changed: book only when your date is certain. Direct-sale prices vary by source (EUR 14.90 to 16.90), so do not rely on one figure without checking the booking page. The combo with the Museum of Illusions or the Royal Palace (from EUR 65.50) is the best reason to buy on Tiqets.

Who it suits, and the traps

  • Teens and families. The rooms are made for photos. For a rainy day, pair it with the Museo de Ilusiones.
  • Health and access. One supplier advises against it for epilepsy or claustrophobia and says it is not wheelchair accessible.
  • Lateness. Groups are timed: arrive a little early.
  • Expectations. It is not an art museum: you come for the atmosphere and the photos.

Around IKONO

The Reina Sofía museum is a few minutes' walk away, enough for a modern-art morning and then a playful break. For a guide in the area, see this welcome walking tour of Madrid on GetYourGuide, which does not include IKONO. More ideas: Madrid with teenagers.
