Our advice

Fly. Book early for summer weekends, when flights fill up, and check baggage: low fares often include cabin baggage only. To reach Madrid's airport, see from the airport to central Madrid. The ferry only makes sense if you want to bring your car: it sails from the mainland (Valencia or Dénia, to be confirmed with the operators), not from Madrid.

From Ibiza airport to town

A 2026 travel guide says Alsa has run a new island bus network since 1 April 2026, and its AERO2 line links the airport to Ibiza Town bus station in 20 to 30 minutes for about 3.50 EUR. A taxi costs roughly 15 to 20 EUR according to the same sources. Check the timetable on Alsa's site before you travel.

Where to stay in Ibiza

For a short stay, base yourself in Ibiza Town (Eivissa) or near the airport to save journeys; for beaches, look at Santa Eulària or Sant Antoni. Compare hotels in Ibiza on Booking with the free-cancellation filter.
